Health Benefits of Gooseberry

The Gooseberry also known as amla or amalaki tree is a small or medium sized deciduous tree. The tree bears pale green flowers, fleshy round fruits that are pale green to yellowish in color. The fruit has a hard seed in the center. Fresh fruit of amla is refrigerant, diuretic and laxative. Green fruit is exceedingly acid. Fruit is also carminative and stomachic.   1. Hello Victoria, you have shared very good information about gooseberry. I love this fruit more than anything else. Sometimes I eat it raw and sometimes I drink a glass of Gooseberry Juice.
