Tips to Maintain Personal Hygiene

to digest the meals remnants releasing substances that smell. Brushing teeth each morning therefore removes the bad smell. Therefore, it's possible to groom themselves by using deodorants that keep your armpits dry. Showering occasionally also reduces body smells.

Skin Hygiene
Aside from having an oily scalp and hair, adolescents could also develop an oily skin evidently which may lead to acne. Therefore, it's important that you wash your face two times a day; morning and night. There are plenty of skin care products which can help treat acne problems. But find ones which are suitable for your skin. If you have oily face, purchase product which are water-based and oil-free. Avoid touching the face with bare hands because it may be full of dirt and germs that simply worsen acne.

Body Hygiene
Adolescents tend to be more active, usually outdoors and sweat more. Have a bath every day with body wash and water to get rid of dirt, sweat and bacteria which all bring about body odor. After bathing, make sure to apply deodorant with antiperspirant to avoid your underarms form sweating. You may even use body spray to mask the odor.

Hair Hygiene
Males start developing hair evidently. Electric shaver or nonelectric razor can be used as getting rid of the facial hair. However, females may shave their legs and underarms by using razor to keep their skin smooth.

Dental hygiene
Make it a habit to brush the teeth after each meal. Additionally, flossing every evening should also be a part of your routine for dental hygiene. Doing these two things saves you from forming cavities and developing foul breath. Replace your toothbrush each month or it can be up to 3 months. Finally, for optimum oral hygiene, go to the dentist at least twice a year.

Sleep Hygiene
Many teens stay up late and obtain up early. Burning the candle at each side can make a teen more likely to have acne flare-ups along with other skin problems, says the nation's Sleep Foundation. Lack of sufficient sleep may also lead to overeating and eating the incorrect kinds of foods like cookies and Fried potatoes that can add unwanted pounds. Most teens need some over 9 hours sleep, based on the National Sleep Foundation. Some teens could possibly get by on 8 1/2 hours.
